The jaws open wide enough to grip a chunky brass ring while I file the edges, which my old pliers couldn't do. Steel body feels solid but not heavy in the hand during longer twisting sessions. Exactly the extra set of hands I needed at the bench.

The hollow handle is what sold me — I can thread wire right through it and twist an even spiral without the piece slipping out of my fingers. Used it for filing tiny jump rings too, and the wide jaws hold them flat way better than my old pliers.

I’ve been using this hand vice for twisting small wire loops and it handles the job perfectly. The hollow handle makes it surprisingly comfortable to grip even during repetitive work. Only wish the jaw grip was a tiny bit tighter on the smallest findings.
