I was struggling to get consistent ring sizes in my wax models, but this reamer's gradual taper made all the difference. The solid steel carver is sturdy enough to hold its shape even when working in thicker wax.

Finally a reamer that doesn't slip in my hand when I'm working on a tricky wax model. The smooth taper made enlarging a 16mm band to a perfect 17.5mm feel almost effortless, and the steel is solid enough that I didn't worry about it bending.

The textured grip really earns its keep when you're pushing through harder wax—no slipping even with sweaty hands. The taper is so gradual that I can sneak up on the exact size without gouging out too much material at once. For my medium ring blanks, this carver has become the first tool I grab.
