The layers are incredibly crisp and defined after a quick etch, and the 4mm thickness gives me plenty of material to grind down without losing the pattern. I’ve already cut two small pendants from this blank, and it holds detail beautifully under the hammer.

The alternating 1095 and 15N20 layers create this really tight, consistent pattern that doesn't distort when I cut small pieces for ring shanks. It forges smoothly under the hammer with minimal scale, which saves cleanup time during production.

I was pleasantly surprised how even the layer contrast is across the whole blank—no weak spots or uneven patterning. The 4mm thickness gives me plenty of material to forge down without worrying about losing the pattern.
