Wire-Drawing Hand Vice, Lowell Pattern — Hollow Handle Drawtong, All-Metal Construction

This Lowell pattern hand vise offers a secure grip for wire drawing and doubles as a hollow-handled drawtong for controlled metal deformation.

What it does

Engineered for consistent wire reduction, its hollow shank allows wire to pass through, creating a solid pulling point. The precisely serrated jaw faces grip securely without slippage, essential for maintaining uniform gauge. Its robust all-metal construction ensures durability under repeated workshop use, while the large, winged collar enables swift, tool-free adjustments for efficient workflow at the bench.

How to use it

• Insert wire into the hollow handle and adjust jaws.
• Grip firmly and pull wire steadily through the jaws.
• Clean jaws after use to maintain grip integrity.

Who it's for

An indispensable tool for UK bench jewellers, silversmiths, and apprentices creating their own wire stock. Also valued by horologists and model makers for securely holding small components during intricate assembly or finishing tasks, replacing temporary clamp setups.
