A romantic staple, cut cleanly: this set punches heart-and-arrow blanks in three sizes — 21.24 × 22.63 mm, 27.08 × 28.86 mm and 34.29 × 34.03 mm — for pendants, charms and repeated decorative elements in copper or brass sheet. One firm strike per blank, and every one matches the last.
Die block and punches are hardened carbon tool steel, the punches precision-ground with a sharp cutting edge and a bevelled striking end. Anneal your metal first, keep it to 18 gauge (1.02 mm) or thinner, work on a solid surface and strike with a soft-metal or nylon mallet; a smear of Bur-Life or a similar lubricant preserves the edges.
