Butterflies turn up everywhere in small jewellery — earring pairs, charm bracelets, layered pendants — and this set blanks them in four sizes: 22.2 × 17.4 mm, 18.4 × 14.4 mm, 15.0 × 11.8 mm and 12.4 × 9.7 mm. Cut the flat blank first, then dome or form it as the design demands; the outlines stay identical across the batch.

Block and punches are hardened high-carbon tool steel, the 76 × 76 mm block giving a firm bed for the strike. Use annealed non-ferrous sheet up to 1.2 mm (18 gauge) with a suitable cutting lubricant — the fine wing detail depends on keeping those edges sharp.
